The 7 & 1/2 Habits of lifelong learner is for me about staying relevant in an ever changing information age. Information for information sake maybe by itself a noble goal, but those customers that come to our library doors want information that speak to them. Being customer oriented allowed us to engage them, to be out there, in a way that is respectful and useful to them. Facing a very diverse group of immigrants presents opportunity because being in a business environment we want to generate profits. That is we want our customers to come back for more information. Therefore, balancing between giving an immigrant exactly what the immigrant ask, with how much information the person actually need, and using our resources can be challenging.
